Cécile Martin

Cécile Martin is an actress and director whose work explores the relationships between body, sexuality and gender through a feminist perspective. She collaborates with several companies engaged in socially committed artistic creation. Her practice seeks to question dominant representations and to create spaces where silenced or marginalized experiences can be expressed. Through performance and staging, she addresses intimate subjects while connecting them to broader social and political issues. She is currently co-developing two theatrical projects, Le Coussin (2026), focusing on incest, and Irène Versus Gloria (2027), addressing abortion rights. These works reflect her commitment to tackling complex and sensitive topics through artistic creation. As co-director of the WeToo Festival, she contributes to building a multidisciplinary and inclusive program that fosters dialogue between artists, audiences and activists. Within the WAVES framework, she supports collaborative approaches that connect artistic practices with European discussions on gender equality.
